Pelvic floor health promotion workshops

Pelvic floor disorders can affect a woman’s quality of life and work, with urinary leakage and pelvic pain being the most common issues. Work related factors such as heavy lifting, pushing and carrying and delayed toilet use or fluid intake, working in awkward positions for prolonged periods can exacerbate an underlying pelvic floor disorder. As people spend most of their waking lives at work, it is essential that their health and wellbeing in the workplace is a safe, supportive and comfortable, where they can work with their health issues without a shame.

Many women during the peri-menopause through to post-menopause experience changes in their pelvic floor function. These changes may include; bladder urgency, bladder leakage, bowel leakage, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and many other Symptoms
